AIDS Clinical Trials Unit: Beth Israel Medical Center: New York
GoodWorx was hired by the Infectious Diseases Department of the hospital to build a Web site that would attract participants in their currently enrolling HIV Clinical Trials. The site needed to be very user friendly, warm and hopeful in its look and feel. The site is built for a dual audience: potential clinical trials participants health care professionals who might refer their patients to the trials. Site visitors are offered the opportunity to truncate their experience by choosing the participant or professional track. The descriptions of clinical trials for each group are written in language appropriate to the visitor. Content for the site continually changes as old trials end and new ones begin. To this end, GoodWorx designed the site dynamically based on PHP/MySQL with a Content Management System designed so internal staff could do future updating and maintenance if they desired. GoodWorx was responsible for total project management, design, programming, visuals, editing, information architecture, search engine optimization and ongoing maintenance.
