Homework

Sometimes, the most valuable work that a client can do is on their own behalf. One hour of face-to-face time is a drop in th ocean in the context of peoples' lives. Suggesting homework assignments for clients to carry out throughout the time between sessions can be a powerful adjunct to their work with you.

Exercises

You could offer a Web page with awareness/practice exercises on a variety of therapeutic issues. Instead of having to maintain a library of forms, you could make them available for clients to print out from the Web site and carry out before the next meeting.

Reading

Many times arise in therapy that you wish to enhance the learning of your session with reading material-- your own and that of others. You could offer a page with links to articles and essays and books you wish your clients to ready. No need for you to keep a drawer of handouts.

Links

There is an enormous wealth of information about therapy issues already on the Internet. You can provide a resource of links to other valuable Web sites where your clients can deepen and expand their knowledge.
